Directors Corner 6/1/2009

Q. Goins – As we closed out
the year with the spring concert and
Jamboree I would like to say it was
truly a pleasure instructing our
musicians this year. I would like to
thank all the parent volunteers,
without you we could not
successfully function. Next band
season I look forward to meeting
and working with each and every
parent.

Here are a couple summer
reminders:

Percussion camp June 1 -5, 2009
from 8:00 - 1:00 PM daily in the
band room.

Music enrichments Monday's at
6:00 PM band room

Precision band camp starts June 29
at Morris Brown College

FAMU band camp in July; more
information coming.

SHS summer band camp starts July
27 at 1:00 PM

questions or concerns please
contact one of the directors or any
executive board member.

Band News 6/1/2009

Greeting Boosters,

Emergency Band Booster meeting
6/4/09 at 7:00PM. Please come out we
will deseminate information that will
affect the band program as a whole.

The sheet fundraiser has been
postponed until July 2009. Once all
documents and paperwork has been
reviewed and turn over fully to new
E-board we will resume. Keep an eye on
your email and this website for more
information.

With the new year comes new
responsibilities, please be prepared to
volunteer. Coming in July 2009 we
would like to fill some key committee
chair positions ASAP. We will be
looking at Chaperon, Fundrasing,
Uniform and Medical

Payment of honorariums - please note
that the honorariums for 2009-2010 are
set by the Executive Board for that year.
Accordingly, the honorarium amount
and payment schedule have not yet been
set. However, if you wish to get a start
on payment, you can pay via PayPal. If
honorariums are less than what we paid
last season, you will get a credit, if it is
more, you may adjust your final
payment.
